Kasper Plougmand (b. 1994, Aarhus) is a Copenhagen-based artist, designer and art director working across visual communication and image-making. Through his studio Acte, he explores the intersection of aesthetics, perception and process, merging the language of design with a more intuitive, tactile image practice. His personal works often center on photography and mixed media, examining landscape as portrait and material as subject. With an approach grounded in restraint and repetition, he creates abstract visual spaces that study colour, scale and duration. Parallel to his commercial work, these projects act as slow investigations into form and feeling; shaped by years of looking, layering and returning.
“I hope there’s a quietness in them. A sense of pause or stillness. The works are often about scale and absence; about finding something monumental in the minimal.”
