Erica Vincenzi (b. 1995, Los Angeles, CA) makes paintings that present a compelling interplay between clarity and ambiguity, presence and obscurity. Her paintings, lusciously painted small and medium-sized oil on linen artworks, transform everyday images—still life, architecture, figures—into evocative snapshots that resist easy
interpretation. Though often based on her own photographs, her compositions do not simply reproduce reality; instead, they invite viewers into liminal spaces where meaning is both suggested and withheld.
Erica received her BA in Fine Arts from UCLA in 2017. Solo exhibitions include DUMBSTRUCK / AWEFOUNDED, 2023, at Giovanni’s Room, Los Angeles and Now and Again and Yesterday Once More, 2025, at As-Is, Los Angeles. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Painting / Printmaking at the Yale School of Art.
