Highlights from 3daysofdesign 2026
TACTILE LIVING. Art, Design and the Spaces We Inhabit. During this year’s 3daysofdesign, Paper Collective joined forces with Spanish furniture brand Sancal to present Tactile Living - a collaborative exhibition exploring how art, furniture, objects and materials shape the spaces around us.
ART BEYOND THE FRAME
For three days, our Copenhagen home became a place to experience design through more than the eye. Texture, colour, form and material came together across the exhibition, inviting visitors to look closer, touch, interact and experience the spaces in new ways.
At its heart, Tactile Living was about creating interiors that feel personal, expressive and alive - spaces designed not simply to be seen, but to be lived in.
Tactile Living offered a closer look at an expanding idea of what art in the home can be.

THE WEAVING ROOM
One of the exhibition’s most expressive environments brought together Paper Collective’s jacquard woven artworks with Sancal’s new Gradas seating system
The large-scale woven pieces introduced colour, pattern and textile tactility to the walls, while Gradas brought an architectural quality to the room.
Inspired by public spaces created for gathering, its stepped structure encouraged visitors to sit together, pause and interact - transforming the room into a natural meeting place throughout the three days.

CREATING WITH MENTSEN
London-based Japanese design duo Mentsen transformed part of the exhibition into a creative workshop, inviting guests to experiment with composition through collage.
Starting from the same collection of shapes and materials, participants created completely individual outcomes — a simple demonstration of how creativity, intuition and personal choices can transform a shared starting point.

LIVE PAINTING WITH LOLITA PELEGRIME
Artist Lolita Pelegrime brought another creative process to life during a live painting session in the apartment.
Known for expressive compositions, rich colours and tactile surfaces, Lolita worked in front of visitors, offering an intimate look at the layers and gestures behind a finished artwork.

CONVERSATIONS BEHIND THE DESIGN
A series of talks brought another perspective to the exhibition, shifting the focus from finished pieces to the ideas, processes and collaborations behind them.
Together with Note Design Studio, Spacon and Sancal, Paper Collective took part in a conversation about multidisciplinary creativity and the increasingly fluid relationship between art, furniture, interiors and architecture.
The discussion explored what happens before a finished object takes shape - from research and experimentation to collaboration across different creative disciplines.

Three days, five rooms and countless conversations later, we look back on a very special edition of 3daysofdesign.
A huge thank you to Sancal, all participating artists, designers and collaborators, and everyone who visited us in Copenhagen and helped bring the exhibition to life.
Tactile Living was created around a simple idea: that the spaces we inhabit become richer when we engage with them through colour, material, texture, art and, most importantly, one another.

Throughout the apartment, traditional works on paper were joined by tactile pieces created in textile, timber and other materials. Woven artworks added softness and scale to the walls, while sculptural objects and crafted pieces introduced new dimensions throughout the rooms.
These works formed part of Paper Collective’s growing Crafted Forms universe - an exploration of art beyond the traditional print, where material, craftsmanship and artistic expression become equally important.
Presented alongside Sancal’s furniture, the pieces demonstrated how different textures and forms can work together to create interiors with greater depth, warmth and personality.
