Paper Collective:
Hi Noah and thank you for welcoming Paper Collective into your home. To start, can you tell me about where you live in Copenhagen and how and why you ended up in the Danish capital.
Noah Daniel:
As a designer I've always had my eye on Copenhagen. During university I studied interior architecture for a semester here and absolutely fell in love with the city. So several years later when my partner and I had the opportunity to make the move we didn't hesitate for a second. We feel really lucky to have found our home here in Nørrebro, super close to so many of our favorite spots in the city.
PC:
We have been following your home stories on Youtube for some time now. Tell me about how you started sharing your interior and design stories and the journey you have made within your apartment here in Copenhagen?
Noah:
Anybody that knows me well would probably agree that it's pretty out of character that I started creating content on Youtube. Honestly I was just seeing so much interior design content on social media that felt like it lacked substance, so I decided to start sharing my thoughts on design & architecture. I'm extremely passionate about my design values so it feels really special to share those concepts and hear that it'ss resonated with so many people.
At Home with Noah Daniel

Home VisitsPeopleInspirationOn a sunny day in early spring, Paper Collective visited the home of interior designer Noah Daniel. The American now calls Denmark home, and has shared his considered approach to designing his Nørrebro apartment with his followers on Youtube and beyond. We spoke to Noah about juggling content creation with his interior design business with projects spread across the Atlantic.
PC:
Alongside your Youtube channel, you are also working on several interior design projects. Can you tell me about how you juggle these two areas at the same time and some of the projects you are currently working on.
Noah:
It definitely gets busy! I'm currently working on homes in Denmark, Germany, Italy, & the US. I genuinely feel so grateful that my career has brought me to a place that I'm able to take on so many different projects in such different contexts. Balancing my time between design projects and creating content has definitely been (and continues to be) a huge learning curve. It really forces you to carefully consider where your time & energy is best spent.
PC:
You chose some lovely and eclectic pieces from our collection to display within your home. Can you tell me about some of the standout pieces and why they work so well within your space?
Noah:
I'm most excited about the large Blurred Girl print by Mikael Siirilä in our living room. Since we moved in I've known that I wanted an oversized piece of art in this location, and this photograph really spoke to my partner and I. The composition and contrast of the piece does a great job of meeting the scale of the room - it really brings a level of coziness to the seating area that I'm super happy with.
PC:
Do you have any tips for our community on how to incorporate contemporary art within their home?
Noah:
I would say that it's most important to first source pieces that you're genuinely drawn to, and then secondarily find the right spot for them in your home by considering things like color, scale, texture, etc. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is buying art solely to fill a spot in their home. That approach can often lead to interiors that feel pretty soulless.
