Tracing Copenhagen 01

By Spacon

Tracing Copenhagen by Spacon is a series of intricate CNC engraved artworks cut from solid ash wood. Depicting common weeds that sprout and grow between the pavement, the overlooked beauty of the cities unwanted visitors is captured though the rich grain structure of ash. Each design is available with either an extruded or inverted frame detail cut from the same ash plank, and with a light oiled finish and rear mounting hook.

Produced in solid ash wood in Lithuania, with a light oiled finish.
Produced by FSC certified suppliers.

Includes wall mount to rear.

Variations in tone and texture of each piece is a result of the natural grain and the lamination of solid ash wood. Delivered artwork that vary in tone and texture from reference images are not considered a defect.

Spacon (DK)

Spacon is a Copenhagen based, award winning spatial design studio working across strategy, branding, product, and digital experiences. Rooted in the idea of designing for encounters, the studio creates thoughtful environments and experiences that connect identity with physical space and shape how people relate to each other and their surroundings. With a core focus on the design of space, Spacon views design as a form of hosting, combining narrative, materiality, and strategy to create contemporary spaces, objects, and environments that invite openness, interaction, and presence.

The starting point for the collection is Copenhagen as a lived experience. The artworks avoid familiar or touristic representations of the city. Instead, they focuses on everyday situations.
