Thursday - Acoustic Panel

By Stacey Rees

Australian artist Stacey Rees balances the figurative and the abstract with her first collection of six art prints for Paper Collective. A single seated figure creates the center of Thursday, with simple and bold forms in tones of blue, rust, pink and white creating a striking composition against a soft pink backdrop.

Artist

Stacey Rees (AU)

Stacey Rees has held solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia since 2018. Having studied design at RMIT Melbourne her work has been profiled in many publications including Vogue Australia, The Design Files, Sight Unseen and Yellowtrace. Her work is held in collections in corporate Australia along with private collections both locally and internationally.

“I approach my paintings with a spontaneous and relaxed mindset, allowing the brush to move freely without overthinking each stroke. My process often begins by selecting a dominant, or 'hero', colour that sets the tone for the entire piece.”
