Italian artist and architect Manuela Guidarini joins our collection with three works. With a mix between muted tones, quiet forms, and carefully layered surfaces, her paintings evoke clarity, calmness, and a gentle spatial sensitivity. In Manuelas Ombre, dark and bright colors meet in graphic forms to create a soft finish.
“The texture in my work is very fine, smooth, and uniform. I build it through multiple layers, applied gently and with precision, until the surface reaches a consistent and deliberate finish. Humidity levels, the type of pigment I use, and the way I roll the paint onto the canvas are all essential in achieving this quality. Small variations in these elements can change the surface completely, so working with them becomes a focused and almost meditative part of the process."

Manuela Guidarini is an Italian artist and architect whose work explores the meeting point between geometry, materiality, and emotion. Guided by muted tones, quiet forms, and carefully layered surfaces, her paintings evoke clarity, calmness, and a gentle spatial sensitivity. Her practice is rooted in the pursuit of the essential- a continuous balancing act of removing rather than adding, searching for the point at which the work feels complete in its most reduced form. This focus on refinement, atmosphere, and measured precision defines the character of her work. Manuela lives and works between Copenhagen and Italy.
