Jazmine Joye(GB)
London-based printmaker Jazmine Joye creates limited edition, hand pressed linocut prints from her home studio. Her work is inspired by the female form, human hands, and nature. Jazmine studied graphic design at University but is mainly self-taught in linocut printing. Her work usually begins as an idea which is then designed on illustrator, before being traced and carved out of lino, and eventually hand pressed using a Baren. Jazmine is influenced by the shapes and colours of Matisse and takes inspiration from the form of Rodin’s sculptures. Through her work, she wants to make people feel confident and proud in their own skin, and she aims to represent all body types through her various abstracted nude prints.
