Copenhagen based artist Karolina Székely joins our collection with five works that mix collage with mono-printing and painting techniques. Székely has used colour and texture as the starting point for Layered 02, overlapping angular forms in deep rust interupt a divided backdrop in soft purple and warm beige.
Karolina Székely is a contemporary visual artist and graphic designer based in Copenhagen. She originally studied psychology, but her passion for creating led her to become a self-taught graphic designer. As her involvement in the design world grew, she began exploring her own artistic voice through mixed-media work, gradually developing a parallel art practice. Working across a wide range of techniques and materials—from traditional watercolor to layered mixed media — Karolina often combines hand-painted elements and cut-outs to create abstract, contemporary collages that merge analogue and digital methods.
