Arnaud Pfeffer (FR)

Paris based artist, Arnaud Pfeffer has a background as an industrial designer, but his passion is his art. Pfeffer weaves links between human and automated gestures. In his work he combines the delicateness of hand drawings with machine precision and the endless possibilities of different brushes, inks and tools. Through his experimentations Pfeffer explores the link between the unexpected of the matter and the precision of code to expose the materiality of mechanical drawing.

“I am inspired by everyday forms that already have a line: the lines of a vase, the pattern of a leaf, the shadows of an origami, the reflections of a material. All these observations are starting points for the conception of mechanical lines.”
