Artist

Jon Harvey (GB)

British artist Jon Harvey worked as a creative director in the advertising industry before going on to establish his own design practice. Today he continues a lifelong devotion to image making through his original paintings. From Bauhaus to Modernism and Pop Art, Jon’s influences are rooted in art movements of the 20th century - his formative years being shaped by the bold visual language and graphic aesthetic of magazines like The Face and artists such as Haring and Hockney. His work embraces the principles of abstraction and non-objective art, creating emotive, dynamic compositions - thought forms often inspired by the beauty and imperfection of our interior landscape.

“In this collection, I’ve ventured deeper into the play between light and shade, embracing a more diverse colour palette and my continued love of form and line. ”
