Paper Collective is proud to present Il sistema degli oggetti, a new collaboration with the internationally acclaimed, multi-disciplinary Milan based practice Studiopepe. With the launch, Paper Collective joins the company of a large group of international design brands which have collaborated with Studiopepe such as Fritz Hansen and Fendi.

The studio has created a series of eight art prints for their first collaboration with Paper Collective. Inspired by the still life artwork, the collection features hand drawn organic forms – vases, cups, wine glasses and carafe’s, set against playful backdrops of coloured stripes and square patterns, influenced by French sociologist and phycologist Baudrillard’s classification of objects.

Since the beginning, art has always inspired us but in the past few years we have started to do something more artistic like the collaboration with Paper Collective

Everyday tabletop settings are infused with the Milanese designers’ eye for colour, form, and texture. The collaboration is Studiopepes first venture into the art world. Chiara Di Pinto, one of the two founders of Studiopepe, explains: “Since the beginning, art has always inspired us but in the past few years we have started to do something more artistic like the collaboration with Paper Collective.”

The collection moves from sophisticated neutral tones to more vibrant compositions – allowing the series to become a focal point, or an added element to any interior. Chiara Di Pinto continues: “The new collection was born looking at our domestic landscape, we like to work with domestic objects -simple, yet refined, that are part of our everyday life. We play with shapes that have always been part of our culture such as vases, glasses etc. Some of the objects that are represented in our work are items that we have in our studio or homes. The colour choices are also important in our work, it is a powerful tool of representation.”

Studiopepe takes over Paper Collective’s Artspace from June to august
Experience Studiopepe’s universe in Copenhagen when Studiopepe takes over Paper Collectives exhibition space in Copenhagen this summer. Leaping off the wall and into three dimensions, the space will feature still-life inspired scenography where hand drawn organic objects are placed within a colourful interior of stripes and squares. Textural and poetic, the installation will demonstrate Studiopepe’s ability to create immersive environments through colour, form, and texture.
